Bryant-Jon Anteola: September 2008 Archives
Just received word from a Fresno State administrator who said there will be no Bulldog Bounce during Saturday's game between Fresno State and Wisconsin.
The school does not plan on playing "Jump Around," during the game, a song that Wisconsin has been using for about 10 years during its home games and has become a tradition.
The Bulldog Bounce and the "Jump Around" song is expected to return for future Fresno State home games.
But yeah, it's not happening Saturday. Save your bouncing energy for something else.
Here is the nonconference schedule that's in place so far, with the 2009 and 2010 seasons complete except for the fact that there are games in place to play against an undisclosed Bowl Championship Series opponent.

So Wisconsin comes to Bulldog Stadium on Saturday for Fresno State's home opener.
It's a battle of two nationally ranked teams, No. 10 Wisconsin and No. 21 Fresno State, who like to run the ball.
But it's also a battle of who bounces better.
In Fresno, it's called the Bulldog Bounce.
In Wisconsin, it's just called jump around, just like the song.
And when the song is played in both team's home venue, crowds usually, well, jump around. But the way Fresno jumps isn't nearly as insanely crazy as the way people jump at Camp Randall.
Don't believe me, look at this.
So should Fresno State bounce in its home opener and risk being laughed at by visiting fans for its attempt to bounce as Badgers fans do? Or should Fresno State just skip the bounce for this one game?
I say... bounce your heart out Fresno. They're already laughing. Might as well have some fun while you're making them laugh.
