Fresno State shortstop Danny Muno committed two errors in the second inning, and Justin Wilson allowed a single between the errors and loaded the bases.

Georgia leadoff hitter Ryan Peisel came to the plate. He was hitting .344 with 12 home runs entering the game.

Peisel swung for the fences and the ball neared the wall. But Peisel's shot to center field landed in the warning-track area and into Gavin Hedstrom's glove to end the bottom of the second.
