James Tchana is playing Titus Shelton in practice, but instead of shoving and pushing around teammates, he's getting it.

The post players expected to earn significant minutes Saturday against Cal Poly took turns bumping with the Big man from Long Island. Guards denied entry passes to the post, and when the ball did get into James' hands, they did their best to torment his journey to the rim.

Sometimes he made it, most of the time he didn't.

Fresno State is concerned with Shelton, a Fresno native who played at San Joaquin Memorial High. Shelton scored 18 points last season against Fresno State, and that was with Dominic McGuire and Quinton Hosley, two players whose post defense talents far exceeed this season's crop.
