Edison rolls in the Division II boys final 76-52.

Stephen Rotella has sparked an Immanuel run to tie the score at 57-57 with 3:36 left in the game. He hit a 10-footer from the baseline, then put back a rebound and was fouled and hit the free throw. Then, on the other end, he blocked a Marcus Hall shot.

A senior- and junior-laden Mission Prep team is pulling away from the younger Eagles (only two seniors on the roster). The Royals are moving the ball around for good shots while the Eagles are missing free throws. Mission Prep 45, Fresno Christian 35 with 3:30 left in the game.

In the play of the game so far, Mission Prep's Leigh Yetter took a pass in the block with 6-3 Paige Maltos guarding from behind. Yetter, who gives up about 6 inches to Maltos, quickly spun to her left and flipped in a layin and drawing the foul to give Misson Prep a 41-35 lead.

The DV girls matchup might come down to a battle of No. 11 for each team -- Larissa Hensley for Fresno Christian and Leigh Yetter for Mission Prep. Both are their team's leading scorer and they're guarding each other.

The Central Section boys and girls basketball tournament is about to get under way with the Division V girls championship game between No. 2-seed Fresno Christian and No. 1-seed Mission Prep.
