FSU women crush Idaho

Freshman guard Jaleesa Ross scored 14 points and Fresno State held Idaho to 22% shooting in a 68-38 victory Thursday at Save Mart Center.
The Bulldogs (15-9) improved to 10-1 in the Western Athletic Conference and maintained a half-game lead on Boise State. The Broncos (18-6,10-2) won 80-69 at Nevada.
Fresno State didn't have its best game offensively, but it didn't matter against the WAC's last-place team. Idaho is 2-21 overall and 1-10 in conference.
The Bulldogs led only 42-27 at the outset of the second half before going on a 3-point binge. Ross made two, Tierre Wilson and Bailey Amundsen one apiece in a 20-6 run and the lead grew to 62-33 with two minutes left.
Hayley Munro had eight points and eight rebounds, Wilson five points and eight rebounds and LaShaunte Stephens eight points.
The Bulldogs shot 45%, but only 6 for 22 from beyond the arce, and outrebunded Idaho 51-33.
