RENO, Nev. - Marcelus Kemp had his way against Fresno State on Thursday night, scoring a game-high 28 points to lead Nevada to a WAC win at Lawlor Events Center.
Kevin Bell led Fresno State with 22 points. Eddie Miller added 17.
Fresno State, the WAC's best defense, had problems defending Kemp, one of the conference's best players. Kemp scored around the rim.
"We tried everything," Fresno State coach Steve Cleveland said. "We zoned, we maned... nothing was good enough to really stop him from having the kind of night he wanted to have."
The Bulldogs dropped their second game of the week, and are now 10-12 overall and 3-5 in conference play.
Up next for Fresno State is a home game against Louisiana Tech on Monday night.
