What a game this will be. Pat Hill will do a terrific job getting the dogs prepared for this exciting game. Pat Hill has done a great job this year. I hate when people criticize him, i know for a fact no one will ever do a better job than him, here at Fresno State. ESPN loves this guy nothing but positives about him. Hang in there coach. Georgia Tech is a team with alot of speed, but we will come out on top. I think Tashard Choice one of the better RB in the nation. All Fresno State has to do is pound the football play Pat Hill football. GO BULLDOGS!
I am from Boise and we will welcome Fresno State as they play hard nose football and have a great coach and the Boise fans love them and will support them with a hugh turnout. Come on up and support your team and enjoy the hospitality of the Boise people who love you! We treat you like family....Jerry Williamson
I think this is a good matchup for FS. It's pretty much a home game with all the support the Boise fans give us and Georgia Tech is in the middle of a transition with coaches, so I like our chances. It's going to be nice to play a team who really doesn't know what kind of an offence we run. That's always good.
As for my prediction, I say we win by ten in a decent scoring affair. Hopefully we can spread the ball a little bit more like we did against K-State. I would like to go to the game but Christmas is here and I need to save my money. I believe I will see a lot of red in Bronco stadium. See you guys on T.V.
From a Boise State fan: Welcome back, Fresno! Great to see you bounce back from last year, we all knew it was a fluke. You'll definitely have the homefield advantage here on the blue. I've already got my H-Bowl ticket, so I'll see you all in 3 weeks! BEAT GEORGIA TECH!
Regarding Jerry Williamson's post...What else can you say about the class of Boise States fans. Here is a team that is developing into Fresno State's biggest rival and yet they come out and cheer on our Dogs! Jerry isn't the first Boise fan to show this kind of class and I think it says a lot for the Boise community.
This will be a great game. The Boise folks gave the dogs some huge fan support during the Virginia Bowl game which was invaluable to the team. Hopefully the whole Bulldog Marching Band will go to the game to also give the team and fans the top quality musical support they enjoy at home.
Go dogs, sting the Yellow Jackets!
BOISE FANS ARE A CLASS ACT. I LIVE IN UTAH BUT AM A HUGE FRESNO STATE FAN....IF I CAN GET $100 FOR MY BROTHER AND I TO HEAD UP TO BOISE I'LL MAKE THE DRIVE FROM SALT LAKE! GO DOGS! HERE'S A CHANCE TO FINISH POSSIBLY IN THE TOP 25 AND END ON A HIGH NOTE...PROPS TO THE BOISE STATE FANS...CLASS ACT!
Gee, can this team play 4 full qauarters? Can the defense stop giving away thier 1 a game gift touchdown? Can the offense do some plays we have not seem? Is so:
Fresno 31 G. Tech 17
if not
G. Tech 30 Fresno 24
I agree with Bill Z, except that its not just 1, its usually 2 or 3 TD's. Spotting opponents 21 points early in the first quarter has been a common sight this year. I'm as big a fan as the next guy, its just that I'm just tired of seeing Fresno State try to get back into the game after giving up a couple early touchdowns. Both teams have their share of problems, but now I've seen what this FS team can do. I'm expecting a big game from them, not just the last 2 1/2 quarters.
Boise fans, thanks for your sympathy cheers, we really appreciate them.
Although Tech is a 4 1/2 point favorite, realistically, I don't see this being that close.
First is Tech's (now completely healthy) running back who, with a season hampered by injuries, managed an ACC best 119 yards per game. Here's a guy who played a combined four quarters the first two games of the season and led the nation. Now put that guy against the 86th ranked defense against the run... getting the picture?
Next, Tech's nationally ranked defense. They HAVE had bad games, but those always correspond to the games when the offense's ground game couldn't keep the defense off of the field. As I previously mentioned, that doesn't look like it's going to happen this time. Look for Tech to impress come December 31st.
This is going to be a great game..Boise State fans are great and will support Fresno State all the way...I laughed when the GT coach said yeah its great to play on a neutral field..I don't think so..Go Dogs!
There's a pretty serious rivalry between Boise State and Fresno, but I look at it like this: When you're a kid, some of the nastiest fights are between siblings. But when the kid from down the street comes to pick a fight, we all know which side we're on..
This "neutral site" will be a sea of blue and orange and red screaming "GO BULLDOGS!"
Pat Hill is a class act. After his continued acknowlegement, appreciation and respect of the Boise State fan support at the MPC Bowl against Virginia in 2004 it is a really easy decision to come out and cheer on the the Bulldogs in the Humanitarian bowl on December 31st.
Since it will be difficult for many Boise State fans to go to the Hawaii Bowl, the Humanitarian bowl will be our lone bowl experience this year. I think the Bulldogs can expect the same enthusiam from "Bronco Nation" that we took to the Fiesta Bowl last year. The Bulldogs 12th man will be a "Bronco" this year.
Good Luck and Go "Dawgs"!
If our Broncos aren't playing on the blue, our next favorite team is Fresno State. Bronco fans love Pat Hill. The Boise State - Fresno State rivalry is first class. We both love to beat the other team, but there is healthy respect on each side. I promise that on Dec 31, Bronco Nation will turn into Bulldog Nation. The only bad part is that most of us don't have red to wear. Go Bulldogs, beat Ga Tech!!
Love, Artie
ajgboise, just find a big T-Shirt and put it on over the top of your heavy coat. I picked up two Fresno State shirts last week for that very purpose.
Two more BSU fans who will be wearing red and cheering on the Bulldogs on the 31st!
It's nice to see some class act fans writing in. To be honest, I didn't like anything about Boise St. or their fans until I visited them in 2004. Me and my buddies went over there when FSU played BSU when it hailed like crazy. Even though it was cold, I had a lot of fun talking to the fans over there. Thats what I did through the whole game. I even sat next to someone who used to live here next to Fresno City College. They treated me with respect, not like those Oregon fans. I felt like I belonged.
We also loved this pizza place over by the stadium, it was really good, I forget the name though. Thanks for the support. I hope Boise stomps East Carolina. Go WAC.
P.S. They had free parking and a free shuttle.
I am pumped up for this game. Who wouldnt be. Its won more football game before a long stretch of boaring hitless winter and summer (besides NFL). I will enjoy watching this game as everyone here can agree and I cant help but give a nod of respect to those Boise St. fans that choose to chear us on! I feel the same way they do. I was hopeing for Brennan of Hawaii to win the Heisman. But in reallity we WAC'ers know that we dont get that respect we deserve so we stick up for one another! GO BRONCS, WARRIORS AND BULLDOGS!!!!! I gaurantee a win for all the WAC teams in their bowl games. Maybe we will get a little more respect after that. Now my gaurantee is about as good as that dude from the Steelers (whats his name?) but what the hell, I gaurantee it anyways!
That that is some class coming from Boise. Here they are the heated rivals of Fresno State and all they are doing is coming out and supporting Fresno at the bowl game. All I say is I wonder if the same would be true if Boise was coming to Fresno for a bowl game. I would say no. Especially with what I saw at the Fresno Boise game here in Fresno with the way our fans treated Boise fans and players. We could definitely learn something from Boise State fans, thanks for the support and go DOGS...
The four WAC teams going bowling this year have a real opportunity to show how tough our teams are. Wouldn't it be fantastic to be the only conference in the USA to win each of our bowl games? I'd LOVE to rub THAT is the face of the Mountain West and all those BCS big-money boys!
i don't care if Michigan sucks they will win 30 to 27. Bring it on Tim.
Fresno State should have some advantages in this game and therefore I look for the Bulldogs to win it 27-20.
In a couple hours I'll go to the game and sit in a very cold stadium. Like most of the fans there, I'll be cheering for FSU. Coach Hill is a class act. A few years ago FSU was known for having a bunch of no class ruffians on their teams. Coach Hill has made big changes and has instilled some class to the program. The football team is now composed of STUDENT athletes who go to class and get their degrees. Fresno should be proud of him, win or lose!
One word describes Boise State fans, "CLASS".
Go Dogs!!!
WITHOUT AJ JEFFERSON WE LOSE FIELD POSITION. ALSO WE ARE SUSPECT AGAINST STOPPING THE RUN...IE...BOISE STATE...IF GT CAN RUN IT...THIS ON IS OVER...
Just wanted to say congratulations on a game well played.
Awesome job Bulldogs!
I love the Broncos, but there is no team in the WAC I'd rather face the other conferences with than the Bulldogs. You guys a freakin' tough, just like Pat Hill promises. I'm glad you're back! Thank you for giving the conference a little respect after Nevada and Boise State played so poorly. We love you in Boise!!
Good job, Fresno! That was a hell of a game, but everybody knows yellowjackets can't survive in the cold.. I hope you guys heard the homefield advantage all the way from California. See you on the blue next year!
Congratulations to our beloved dogs, and thank you to the fans of Boise. They showed tremendous love and are truly a class act. Great to have the Dogs back on track, cannot wait for next year.
