FS struggling early against Winston-Salem State

The Bulldogs trailed by as much as 10 points during the first half of Tuesday night's nonconference game at Winston-Salem State before trimming their deficit to 32-27 at halftime.

Fresno State suffered through another slow start from the field, managing two points in the first five minutes and five points midway through the first half.

Michael Puckett scored 10 points in the first half, leading the Rams. Paul Davis added nine with two blocks, including one in the final seconds before halftime, stopping Kevin Bell's layup.

Eddie Miller scored eight points to lead Fresno State. The Bulldogs shot 32% from the field and 35% on 3-pointers.
