Fresno State wins 38-27

Ryan Mathews scored two touchdowns before leaving the game with an ankle injury and A.J. Jefferson returned a kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown to highlight a 38-27 Fresno State victory over Utah State on Saturday at Bulldog Stadium.

The Bulldogs improved to 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference and 6-3 overall, while Utah State remained winless.
