two words for FSU: ISLAND FEVER! If they can pull off this win, then they deserve to go to a bowl game this year.

That's a tough question. If were going according to the heart of the team, yes. If were going according to the stats and injury reports, no. My hope is that they play like they have nothing to lose and put it all on the line because I think our season is riding on this game.

If we win we make national headlines and more than likely get a share of the WAC championship and we also get a team with a new outlook and energy. If we lose we get a team coming back to the mainland knowing they can't win the WAC and we wait to see if we get into a bowl game. That's hard on a team that's already been through a lot.

Since your asking me, we win a close one 27-24.

To beat Hawaii you must stop their short passing game cold with hard hits and get turnovers. Then anticipate the deep ball wisely and have your safeties play sharp. Let's face it, they are one dimensional and pass only. So don't geek out over Hawaii. Realize they have played soft teams and the dogs just need to attack with smarts. Don't lose your discipline.
For one game, play like cool blue from Boise and you got em!
I guess I am saying the dogs tend to get over amped. This dog fans is a business trip. Go to the beach after the game if you mean business.

I won't give a score but...

1. Hawaii will be playing with all of their starters (I think).

2. Our starting line up looks like it got hit with a shotgun blast.

3. They remember the verbal lashings we gave them the last time they were here.

4. They took that abuse and then trounced us in our house.

5. Now we're playing at Aloha Stadium. It's hot, humid even at this time of year and now they are 8-0.

Grab your ankles...it's going to be ugly.

Ryan Matthews gonna play???

Hawaii may score 100 points. FSU has no pass defense. Should play two back and rush nine and hope to get to the Q-back

Fresno could start a wheelchair team with all the hurts they have. Hope we give them a good game win or loose. Still a booster and fan either way. GO DOGGGGGGSSSS. Hope
Hill gives the next QB a shot if tom is not doin well. Good luck U DOGS.

I made a mistake on my last posting. I meant to say that Hawaii will win 27-24 in a close game. Down inside I want FS to win and that came out while I was typing. I'm a die hard fan, but Hawaii is just too explosive. Even though they're explosive I say it's close because the last time FS was out a bunch of our players was when we played Georgia Tech, and we beat them.

We had different players then but I'm hoping that Pat Hill will put that same philosophy in their minds. We have nothing to lose, Hawaii does, take it from them.

Dogs give it all you got!
Sometimes you only get one shot! Take it! Hawaii is supposed to win...Expectations are really high for them...Make them afraid to Lose.
Don't put up no Brick, Hawaii!
GO DOGS!

One thing we know the Bulldogs are more likely to play up to the Rainbows , if they were playing a team that shouldn’t even be in the stadium with them I would be more worried , they tend to over look teams they should hammer and when least expected come out and show heart and moxie . I think that they can hit and play punch you in the nose football with anyone, these guys aren’t afraid of anyone, and Hawaii's jaw has yet to be tested against a real punch, will they be Iron Jawed Evander Hollyfield or will they crumble like Michael Spinks when they have to stand and fight? Well see but I think that teams who live by the pass die by the pass, and if Fresno can slow the ball down, and put a bit of desperation in that Hawaii team things will get interesting.

Our Hawaii team is not looking past Fresno as someone here pointed out and neither is its fans. Hawaii will be ready to face FSU and I have no doubt about it that it will be a great game.

Hawaii does well at home as you all know so I'm liking our chances and the fact that our injuries are not wide spread like Fresno.

We the Hawaii fans are ready for a good fight and if you think we are looking past you guys, you have another thing coming to you.

Heres to a good game and my fondest Aloha.

I'm here in Maui on vacation and can tell you Hawaii is taking this game very seriously. They consider it a big rivalry game. Hawaii will be ready. Will the Dogs?Doubtful. They just don't have the defense. Should be blowout for Hawaii.

Good luck Dog's -------- Your going to need it. The Warriors are primed and ready for this one. Aloha stadium is going to be verrrrrrrry loud and rockin. Check out www.honoluluadvertiser.com and read the UH Sports page and see hoew ready we are.

Unfortunately, Fresno State is playing Hawaii at the wrong time. I've lived in Hawaii so I know that the Warriors are just chomping at the bit to make a statement against a better quality opponent (I hope this means you FSU). There will be no letdown in this one and if the Bulldogs are not up to task it will be ugly. Coach Hill-- Remember just a few years back when in Bulldog Stadium you had a huge lead on Hawaii and you ran an onside kick in the fourth quarter just to get the ball back and pour it on? 68 points hung on the Bulldogs last year and Brennan and company waiting for Saturday--they have long memories...

Bring it on...I can still recall the "trash-talking/can throwing" response Hawaii got a few years back in Fresno.

The Warriors are getting ready for the big time by meeting with Fresno for a WAC game. They know how the Dogs play...it's time to walk the talk! Once they run all over the Dogs, those east of the Mississippi will start to know what's brewing on an island in the middle of the Pacific.

GO WARRIORS!

I wonder, has the NCAA ever checked into Hawaii and their grading procedure? I know if Fresno State had a couple of years like what Hawaii has had they would be here like vultures.. Hmmm.
If the Dogs just a good passng Quarterback..

Big Heart!
That is all I have to say, Big Heart!
These DOGS are not last years dogs. These DOGS have b##ls.
Enjoy the week off, you guys deserve it.
GO DOGS!

Our one dimensional team won. It was great to see the whole FSU team celebrating like they won the superbowl after Brennan went down. I guess they didnt feel that green and black shoe that was still planted firmly in their rear ends. It will be worse for them next year.

Well, Jkeyes, let's not forget why the NCAA checked into Fresno's method of grading for its athletes. Remember Courtney Alexander and the dozen or so term papers the student statistician said he wrote for him? And remember that most of those papers were for courses not even offered through Fresno State but through online courses from other places? Pathetic. Fresno deserved the attention the NCAA gave it. As far as I know, UH hasn't had those problems.

I'm proud to have earned two degrees from Fresno State and also spent a year studying at UH (not that long ago). I used to see the huge football linemen in Hamilton Library on the Manoa campus all the time. Like with many collegiate teams, they were required to spend a few nights a week studying in the library. I gotta tell you, UH has a cleaner record than Fresno State. I'm still outraged at the way the FSU athletic department handled the Alexander case. A lot of people don't forget stuff like that, all over the country. And I'm not sure that the people who run athletics today have any greater appreciation for the fact that they are part of a university. But I keep hoping. (If you ever wonder why FSU can't get into a better conference, by the way, this is it. The word is "reputation.")

This is for go warriors. I don't know if you have ever played football, but a hit like that against a highly ranked team will pump you up. They were not cheering because Colt got hurt. I don't know if you've seen replays, but he lost the ball and we picked it up and ran it back. We cheered because we thought we scored not because he was hurt or anything. Were not all about throughing "Screw Drivers" or playing dirty according to Hawaii fans. Believe it or not, there are FS fans who want to see you do well.

By the way, the way you guys blogged, you should have beaten us by fifty. I'd be carefull Warrior fans. You guys are good but your not untouchable, as the nation has seen three times this year. Your good, but a little overated in my book. Prove to me and the country why you should be in the BCS. Best wishes to Colt Brennan.

June Jones is really tough on the kids that do not make meetings on time or academic standards. One of our starters was shown the door just before the Fresno game.

I wanted to make a quick comment on Coach Pat Hill of Fresno State Bulldogs. I would like to the good people of Fresno to know that I consider coach
Hill and the Fresno State Footbal Team as a "Class Act." Although Hawaii won the gane here this past week and there was a possibility that our starting
quarterback might be sidelined with a Level 3 concussion due to a legitimate and legal hit by Marcus Riley, the game was hard fought by both sides. What
I was moved by was the compassion coach Hill showed by visiting the Hawaii locker room after the game and congratulating Hawaii and Boise State
as exemplary representatives of the WAC. He also showed deep concern for our quarterback, Colt Brennan. I know that their is a personal friendship
between coach Hill and coach June Jones but coach Hills exemplary conduct this past saturday is top notch in my book. Again, thank-you Fresno and
coach Hill for an outstanding game, keep up the excellent work!
