Gotta love the WAC. 49-41, that's the football equivalent of a pitching duel....
The game was officially over when Reno-Nevada fumbled the ball at our goal line which resulted in a touchback for Fresno State. After that, the Homecoming crowd in Reno left and there were more Red than Blue in that stadium. The little drive that made a big difference was early in the 3rd Qtr, Fresno State (with a good lead and effective running attack) abandoned traditional football tactics and opted to pass the ball on 3 consecutive downs resulting in 3 consecutive incomplete passes and a punt which ate up about 15-20 seconds for the entire drive. WHAT A WASTE OF PROCESSION!!! 3 runs up the middle with little or no gain would have punished their defensive front for 3 more plays, eaten up about 90 seconds of clock (90 more secs of rest for our defense), and would have eliminated the time Reno needed to score their final 2 touchdowns. Go figure. But the score indicates a closer game when really the 'Dogs dominated much of the game - stellar running game and special teams.
question can u give more info on the bulldogs game senptember 8th
