Utah recruit Bracken Funk on his way... well, eventually

| | TrackBacks (0)

I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend, yet Utah recruit Bracken Funk has planned out the next three-four years of his life. I interviewed his high school coach yesterday. Funk became Fresno State's fourth oral committment of the last two months.

His Lone Peak High basketball team will enter the season as the top-ranked squad in Utah, and coach Quincy Lewis said his team will be considered in national rankings.

Funk's impact is in question, though. He suffered a torn ACL in late May. Lewis said Funk is on schedule to return in time for the season.

Fresno State must have evaluated Funk like this: Well, he won't make it to campus for another 2 1/2 years, plenty of time to recover from his knee injury.

After graduation, Funk will start a LDS mission. Lots of walking (rehab).
