The Bulldogs looked decent in the season opener, but these were the Hornets of Sacramento State. How will Fresno State fare against an opponent like Texas A&M?

Where's the story and photos about David Carr?

Fresno State beat Sac St but they will not beat Texas A&M
Predicted Score:
Texas A&M: 45
Fresno State: 0

A win is always nice--irrespective of the opponent. Improvement was shown over last year, beginning with a change in mindset: the team wants to display "Bulldog Football," and they did seem more determined and tenacious. These are good things.

The play was pretty sloppy at times, however, and the playcalling was extremely vanilla (hopefully by design to keep TAMU guessing). Also, our offensive line, touted to be one of the real strengths of this team, underwhelmed. If these problems are not resolved by next Saturday, the answer to your question is obvious.

Let's all believe this was just a grand strategy from PH's camp to sucker punch Texas A & M next week. Go 'Dogs!!

One down, A&M to go. The dogs did what they had to, they won. That was a nice change from last year.
Fans should understand that OREGON, Boise, Kansas State, Hawaii, and Texas A&M will most likely all finish in the top 25. That makes for one really tough schedule. This is an awesome task for the boys and I will be rooting for them all the way.
Tailgate for next weeks game is in Monterey At Knuckles Sports Bar. GO DOGS

When are Fresno State fans going to realize that they are not that good of a football team or program. Yes they do try and go out a play the top programs. But when is the last time they won there own conference title? The WAC is one of the weakest conferences and they can't even do that. They need to concentrate on that before they start trying to schedule all of these big time schools. Look at Boise State and see how they have done the last couple of years. This week against Texas A&M they are going to look just like they did last year. Texas A&M big over Fresno State

We may not win come saturday but BULLDOG football is back!!! We may not win but we're going to come at you with everything we have and were going to hit you in the mouth. A&M will up the next morning and know they they just played the BULLDOGS. They're going to feel it.

Get ready to be rocked by the Ags at Kyle Field.

Hey Chris - A&M may get the next morning and "know they just played the BULLDOGS" BUT when the bulldogs get up (2 days later) they won't know a bulldog from a poodle.

This game will be a lot closer than everyone expects it to be. As you guys can see with the point spread on the game which is around 17 or 18. So the Vegas guys think the game won't be that much of a blowout. The Ags will be surprised due to the fact they don't know what the Dogs are going to come at them with, since they didn't see much from our offense against Sac. St. and we now have a new OC.

If Tom shows up and is efficient, the running back by committee will do its job, O-line takes care of business, and Big Bear Pacoe does tons of damage in that game. As long as the Ags don't throw the ball more than they run, our speed on defense should contain the option. I really think Bear, Ryan Mathews and TB will have a great day.

And then we gets to rolling after this upset win.

None of us, Aggie fans or Bulldog fans, know what Fresno State team is gonna show up. It could be the one similar to the one that play USC to the bring, or the team from laster. I think the Bulldogs will put up a good fight.I dont think it will be a rout by any means. But the Aggies will win.

Aggie win 34-21

Gig Em Aggies!

Good luck to the Bulldogs. I'm a Longhorn fan and I can tell you the Texas Aggies are the most spirited, loyal, and loud fans there among the classy fans in America. We love to hate them but we envy them always. They were picked as the best university in America by Washington Monthly last month. They are located in College Station, home of the most educated residents in the state (27.7% have at least a master's degree). It will likely be hot. Drink lots of water!

Go Bulldogs! Bite them Aggies!

Although I didn't attend Texas A&M, I am obsessed with all things Aggie and have been a fan for years. I hope they kill the Bulldogs Saturday. I live near College Station and will be cranking up the Crown Vic and heading there for the game. Gig 'em!

It is always a pleasure to get a visitors perspective on our beloved Aggieland. I wish all of the fans traveling to A&M this weekend a safe and fun journey. I strongly recommend attending our Yell Practice at midnight at Kyle Field Friday night. It will give you a great look into the spirit that we live by.

Thanks and Gig 'Em!

Great article, I can tell you've been on the inside. I hope all Bulldag fans come early and stay late. It should be a great game. But look out, ags look to dominate!

While loud and very loud at times I wouldn't characterize Kyle Field as hostile. Mostly a very loud pro-Aggie crowd and not really an anti-opponent crowd. Just a great spectacle and often thats enough. It's a great game for visiting teams fans.

1) We should have go for two at the end of regulation. The D was out of gas. One shot...3 yards...it's the best odds for a victory.

2) Why get conservative with 1st and 10 from the 12.5? They didn't play the pass all day and never could cover Pascoe. Throw it and win in the 1st OT. Coach got too conservative. Gotta win the "right way"? How about just win, no matter what it takes? We let a golden opportunity slip through our fingers.

While the officials ultimately got the call correct on the fumble into the end zone that was recovered by A&M and the late hit on the QB which gave Fresno State the ball back, it still doesn't appear that they know WHY they got it right. That was one of the strangest series of events that I have seen with regards to officiating.

Anyway, there was a great group of Fresno State fans there that were loud and boisterous in their support of the Bulldogs. Come back to Kyle Field any time.

Gig'Em!

That play should have never been reversed. For those Aggies saying it was the right call, don't forget when McGee fumbled after he went airborne and lost control of the ball before his hand hit the ground in the 3rd Quarter. Fresno State recovered that. Fresno ball right? As that play couldn't be challenged or reversed because he was ruled down, same for that play in OT. He was ruled out of bounds, so what happens after that is irrelevant even if he did the receiver did in fact fumble. Should have been Fresno ball at the half yard line after the 'Roughing the Passer' penalty.

At least Fresno State is back (4 and a forgettable 8 last season). If they can get by Oregon, they'll once again be in the spotlight.

It looks like them dogs got fight! Way to represent Bulldog Football.
The boys came up a bit short, but what a game. It looks like alumni will be able to wear the Cardinal and blue with pride this year.
That was a great game,in a tough stadium, and a long way from home.
GO Dogs
