Word on the street says there's a lack of weight lifting in Edison's football program, that the Tigers' lack of strength and stamina was evident this summer in passing leagues.
If this is true, it will show in the second half against Madera, which I promise you, is big on lifting under coach Randy Blankenship.
Let's pay attention to the halftime and final scores in what's a huge nonleague opener for both schools.
Good Call! Outside of some cramping, the Tigers looked very fast until the end. Madera, on the other hand, looked overmatched all game. If not for a few botched assignments by the Edison safeties, Madera does score its first two touchdowns. This game could have been easily 63-0.
Both teams played sloppy but Edison still won by 26. The Tigers played mostly backups in the second half. First half star Rolando Jefferson did not play a down after halftime.
No one has more talent in the Valley, that includes Clovis West. But if Edison doesn't cut down on its penalties and stupid mistakes, it will be tough for them to finish the season unblemished.
dont worry about Edisons weight lifting thats not their edge on all other teams its the fact that one of Mcdonalds relitives runs a charter school and boosts their grades to keep players eligable. I heard this from a reliable sorce
