Can you believe Golden State has eliminated No. 1 seed Dallas in the Western Conference? How far can the Warriors go in the playoffs?
Golden State beats Dallas to become the first 8 seed to defeat a 1 seed since the format switched to best-of-seven games for all rounds. The only other 8 seeds to knock out a 1 seed was the Denver Nuggets (1994) and the New York Knicks (1999), but that was in best-of-five series'.
I am not a warriors fan, but did believe that they could make the playoffs and some noise due to the fact that they made that trade with Indiana. Although they just loss, I think the crowd in Oakland will be nuts and they should pull away with the win and the series. They are playing with a lot of heart and all elevating their games to another level, especially Baron Davis.
I believe if they can play with this type of emotion and heart, they can play with anybody in the Western Conference and pretty much take it all the way because we have all seen them beat a Phoenix and other teams that they may face. It's not the Warriors being scared of who they will face next, but the next Warriors opponent afraid of this team because they are playing great and on a roll. These guys will not grind, but tire you out and are relentless. Only they can stop themselves from being any better or winning games.
