Three former Fresno State football players have signed as undrafted free agents with NFL teams and two more could sign by the end of the week.

Fullback Roshon Vercher signed with the Arizona Cardinals, receiver Joe Fernandez with the Seattle Seahawks and defensive lineman Louis Leonard with the San Diego Chargers.

Safety Josh Sherley said he received an offer sheet from Seattle, too, but has yet to sign. Offensive lineman Kyle Young has received a tryout with the Washington Redskins and will attend their three-day minicamp, which starts Thursday.

Fresno had four players drafted this weekend during the two-day, seven-round draft. Cornerback Marcus McCauley went to the Minnesota Vikings and receiver Paul Williams to the Tennessee Titans, both in the third round. Running back Dwayne Wright was taken by the Buffalo Bills in the fourth round, and offensive lineman Chris Denman went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the seventh round.

I was just wouldering what happen to, David Carr. I think he could excell, playing for the right team, " Possibly a team with , a offencesive-line ". I would hate to see him, take the route Trent Dilfer, took after the Super Bowl, just being second string quarterback. I was hoping he would go the Raiders, But that is'nt possible, with there first round pick. "Just a fan" that thinks, he did'nt reicve ,or show his the full ability he has? Tom B. NewJersey, AND A VERY LONG TIME BULLDOG FAN!!!!
