Four-time NHRA champion Gary Scelzi of Fresno will make an announcement on his future in drag racing Tuesday during a teleconference call.
Scelzi signed a three-year contract with his sponsors, Mopar and Oakley, that requires him to declare this spring whether he'll drive in the 2008 National Hot Rod Association series.
Scelzi declined to reveal his intentions to The Bee on Monday, saying it wouldn't be fair to his sponsors to let the news out early.
In 2005, Scelzi won the Funny Car championship to go with his three Top Fuel titles.
Last year he finished seventh and currently sits in fifth place.
