Super Bowl?

The stage is set, Bears vs. Colts. Will this be a good Super Bowl?

Several players with ties to the Fresno area could play important roles in the game. Matt Giordano (Colts), Bernard Berrian (Bears), Ricky Manning Jr. (Bears), Cameron Worrell (Bears) - which player(s) will have the most success on super Sunday?

so i think this is going to be one of the better superbowl match-ups in recent memory. you're looking at a team, chicago, who can put points up on the board. most people say they cant win because rex grossman is inconsistent, which is true, but the bears don't have to rely on him. did you all forget about hester on special teams? also you're getting one of the best defenses i've seen in a long time. so they are more than capable of scoring on defense and special teams. if, for whatever reason, rex can actually pull it together watch out for berrian on the deep ball. also isn't rex playing the big game in his college state (florida)? he'll do eveything he can to make it a homecoming of sorts.

as far as the colts go, we all know that their offense is high-powered. also manning is still trying to get a monkey off of his back by winning the big one. and as of late their defense has done everything to step up their game too. if the colts can manage to stay on the field for extended periods of time they will definitely force rex to chuck the ball a lot more and force somethings.

my end prediction...Bears win and Rex Grossman is the king of florida (until joakim noah leads the gators to an NCAA championship). as far as the score goes...who knows, but it will be close.

I think that you have a little too much time on your hands sound dude! It's easy, the Colts will win because even if the Bears defense has a good day, the Colts will put up 20. There is no way lil Rexy is going to put up even half of that. The only chance the Bears got is if the defense scores AND Hester takes one back...the ONLY way!

hi j, i definitely agree that i have too much time on my hands (it's pretty slow here at work). i also agree that the colts will put up 20+ because they did in 2 of 3 post-season games, but the bears put up 27 and 39 respectively. i'm not saying it's due to grossman's play, but their defense is undeniably the better of the two (when playing to full potential). the bears' defense is also more consistent. i'm not saying i KNOW for sure, cause anything can happen. i'm just saying the likely hood that the colts can disrupt grossman, cover berrian, stop hester and pick apart the D is highly unlikely. on the flip-side all the colts have shown consistently is great offense. and great defense will beat great offense 9 times out of 10.

I think Berrian and Manning of the Bears will have success in this game. Berrian will catch at least 1 td and have several other key receptions. Ricky will do a good job against the Colts receivers. This isn't the matchup I wanted, but, this is what we have. Bears should win. I think I say this because I'm disappointed the Patriots came up 1 minute short of a chance to beat the Bears and win 4 out of 6 titles. Oh well, can't win 'em all!

Well, well, well..... You men have some good points and theorectical predictions. However, I think its the year for the Colts. They've been so close the past few years, that its almost like reaching the peak of a mountain and now Peyton can find his way back home. Within the last few minutes of the Patriot game, I seen Manning sitting on the side lines with his head bowed down and what appeared to be his eyes closed and lips moving..... I don't think he's ever wanted it this bad! Its the Colts turn, its owed to them, lets face it. As for the Bears, I bet cash and a case of Coronas Rex Grossman chokes. GO COLTS!
