Bulldogs women finish rout

The Fresno State women's basketball team, in command from the start, beat UC-Irvine 81-50 tonight at the Save Mart Center.

It was the first half of a doubleheader. In the second half, the Fresno State men played Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

The Bulldogs women scored the first seven points of the game against UC-Irvine and also enjoyed a 10-0 run in the first half as they built a 40-19 halftime lead.

Jenny Thigpin and Andrea Roberson each scored 15 to lead the Bulldogs.
