Renato Cesar shoots and scores... from Downtown?

Believe it or not, the big man from Brazil has a nice outside touch, at least in practice. Wonder if he'll shoot any tonight at the Save Mart Center in an exhibition game against Cal State-Los Angeles?

His shooting stood out at Monday's practice.

Coach Steve Cleveland split the team into two groups. The first squad to convert 10 three-pointers won.

Cesar made sure his group dominated the competition. From the top of the key to the baseline, he drained 3-pointers as teammates cheered for the guy they call "Nato."

"How many did he make?" senior guard Ja'Vance Coleman asked after losing another round.

Don't expect to see Cesar taking any last-second shots this season, not with Coleman, Quinton Hosley and other scorers on the team. But hey, you never know.
