Highs and lows

It's 68-30 with 6 minutes to go. Here are some bright and dim spots for Fresno State:

Bright: Lonyae Miller, a true freshman tailback, is showing strong running insticts and power in garbage time.
Dim: Dwayne Wright never got going and fumbled on consecutive possessions while the game still was in reach.

Bright: Sean Norton appears to have the intangibles (pocket presence, ability to throw on the run, elusiveness) that Tom Brandstater lacks.
Dim: At 1-5, it's all about next season for the Bulldogs.

Bright: Senior safety Vince Mays made a bone-jangling tackle early in the game.
Dim: It was the first of his career.

Just a comment on the game, though I know you will never allow it on your blog.
Payback is a bitch, isn't it Mr. Pat Hill?

The bulldogs need help

bulldogs needs help

I can say this with my head held up high. I am one of many people that are true fans of football. As we are the supporters as well as lovers of this game, we need to come to the realization of lessons learned. A true freshman quarterback should not be in a starting position for all four of his years, unless you work him into the rotation during his sophomore season. Because your backup QBs will not have the opportunity to develop at their own pace and the game time experience, confidence occurs during the football season. The results from overlooking this process could create a backlash from the decision which can result in a future QB without any game time experience. We as supports of our Fresno Bulldogs will overcome this season and I will say look out WAC when these Dogs return for the 2007 season.
