Schwarzenegger turns California into 'nanny' state

California is often described as a "nanny" state, one with a government that smothers us with regulations that constrain our rights and our lives. I never paid much attention to those complaints, but I may have to rethink that now, thanks to this report from Michael Rothfeld of the LA Times.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has appointed Lindsay Ann Schnaidt, 32, a Democrat from Hermosa Beach, as a part-time state regulator on the Board of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Schnaidt just happens to be the long-time nanny to the Schwarzenegger children. She'll get $100 a day when the board meets, which happens several times a year.

You folks at the Bee should broaden your horizons. There's a whole big world out there beyond The L.A. Times, New York Times, Associated Press and McClatchey News Service.

Yeah, like Al Jazeera, right Brian?

Adam...maybe you could provide a link when you recommend a personal source.

Brian, the Enquirer or Star Magazine do not qualify as the "whole big world out there." Silly boy.

KT&T...You and "Funny" don't mix.Leave it to those who are good at it...such as myself. If you get "The Bee" check out the sources for most of the articles...very narrow. That was my point.

Brian people laughing at you does not necessarily mean you have a sense of humor. Sometimes it means they are laughing at you. I am so used to the people bashing that you excel in that I must have missed the point. How do you like it now that I am returning the favor?

KT&T...You seem more interested in attacking me than dealing with substance on the issue I generated about "Bee" sources.I know I have a wonderful "Sense of Humor" and sense of "What is Funny" so I can take your lame attempt to disparage me and make light of it."Dizzy"...do you have all the lights out and the curtains drawn as you evesdrop on the blog but do not participate?

Brian (unbiblical name), you are probably the last person in this forum who should be complaining about being "attacked." If you can't take it, stop shoveling it out.

Mike, thank you for making my point. I have been going after Brian on purpose. Bloggers have been trying to blog on subject for weeks now and Brian's attacks take constructive conversations and turn them into nonsense; merely for his own enjoyment. I am not the only one tired of it. Now that he has been getting a taste of his own, I notice his tune has started to change. He's actually wanting to use this blog as it is intended. About time Brian. By the way I am not trying to disparage you; you have done that to yourself. I am flat out laughing at you. I am giving you the credibility you deserve.
