Valley's who's who at the Democratic Convention

The Valley will be represented by dozens of people, including politicians and party faithful at the Democratic National Convention in Denver Aug. 25-28.
According to the folks over at sanjoaquinvalleyfornia.com, the Valley force includes three members of Congress -- Dennis Cardoza, Jim Costa, and Jerry McNerney. Three other elected officials -- state Sen. Dean Florez, Assemblymember Nicole Parra and Fresno City Council member Cynthia Sterling -- also are going. The full list of delegates also is on the Web site.

How about you? Have you ever been to a national convention for the Republicans or Democrats? How was it? I haven't attended yet, but it's on my "bucket list" -- you know, things to do before I kick the bucket. On TV, they all look like they are having so much fun. I'd love to be in the middle of all that excitement someday.

Gail I hope you will get a chance to go someday if its something you want to do. I wouldn't want to go ieven if it was an all expense paid trip. I see more than I would ever want to on TV and just have no desire to stand in the deep crap with them. I don't much care for liars.

Dr. Gail...We can expect a roster for the Republican convention? Anyone going to the Lefty Luau better wear asbestos underwear as the Clintons are gonna do whatever it takes to burn down the house of cards built by Barry "O".

When I opened this thread for the first time with 2 existing comments, I figured there was probably going to be 2 digs at the Democratic Convention. I guess the temptation is just too great. Don't know why the Democratic convention will be any more full of crap than the Republican convention will be though.

I'm actually going to encourage everyone to watch the DC and "Barry's" speech though because it's going to be very different than in the past, as you might expect. And why not, it's about change from the last 8 years.

I agree Gail, it would be an experience, even with all the loons in the crowd. They might even be part of the entertainment.
