The Friends of Fresno State, a group of volunteers not affiliated with the university, is surveying the community about attitudes toward Fresno State. The material from the survey is part of a comprehensive report that will be released to the community in its entirety. You can take the survey by clicking on www.nollassociates.com.
The research is being conducted by Noll Associates. Sponsors are looking for "cost-effective ways to communicate a balanced and accurate regional and national understanding of the contributions of academics, community engagement, and athletics at Fresno State."
We urge our readers to take part in this online research. You have until Friday to complete the survey. You can access the survey by going to www.nollassociates.com, and then clicking on the link where it says, "Take the Fresno State Survey here."
The editorial board believes this survey will help improve the university, and we have agreed to urge our readers to take the survey because the sponsors have committed to making all the information from the survey and related research available to the public
I was happy to take the survey...and thanks Jim for pointing out where the link was on that site. ;)
I did the survey. I left note that the question about age should not be there because intellectual prowess is too easily dismissed in the aged. We are looking at part of academia and not a club of sorts.
The biggest problem with this 'survey' is that it is not a random sample. The people who take the survey are 'self-selected' -- they choose to go to the site and do the survey. This makes it worthless from a statistical point of view.
MOI took the survey as well, and was right proud to tell them that MOI is an old geezer.
But them MOI is going to go to London on 65th birthday and live out days there in his decreptitude, knows full well that aged are not appreciated here.
I believe the poll is random because when I choose to answer on the phone or on the street I would be self-elected by definition. Clicking on a computer is no different to consent over the phone.
Having to take the poll to keep a job or as a class room exercise, that would render it worthless. In my opinion.....
So when does MOI turn 65?
He mentioned in a post that he was 61 years old.
But whichever, Friedich Schiller, the German Classic; in his poem "Threefold is the Pace of Time" No imppatience can speed up the future. And now I am going for my saucer of milk.
