Update: The Los Angeles area quake has been downgraded to a magnitude of 5.4.
Breaking news from the Los Angeles Times:
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.8 shook large parts of Los Angeles just after 11:42 a.m.The quake shook downtown L.A. buildings and was felt as far south as San Diego and as far east as Palm Desert.
The United States Geological Survey said the quake was centered near Chino Hills, which is about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
There were no immediate reports of injury or damage, according to authorities. Eleven aftershocks have already been reported.
One of my employees is doing a health insurance enrollment in Chino Hills and everyone dove under the tables during the quake........
Just watched CNNs WB shake down the Mayor of L.A. I don't believe he wanted to be asked his location, on vacation in London with his son and no immediate plan to return. It was the equivalent of water boarding in public. Wouldn't be surprised if he is home soon where he belongs like everyone else...on alert.
Thankfully there doesn't appear to be any serious injuries or damage. Of course I am leaving for the Palm Springs area next week so I hope the aftershocks are done by then.
What do you think the percentage is of people that are prepared for disasters? Fires, earthquakes, floods...Democrats in Power! Jackie-Palm Springs in August? There's a reason for those cheap rates. It's not Hell but you can see it from there.
I don't go for the cheap rates I actually own property and yes it is hot but heck its hot here too. At least I am getting away to spenmd good quality family time or do you have something against family too Brian.
