Sorry, no campaign yard sign for us
Thing is, we didn't ask for a yard sign. Denny laughed as he told the lady that. With my husband working as a reporter (he covers Fresno City Hall and the mayor's race) and me working on the Opinion pages for The Fresno Bee, a campaign yard sign is something you won't see in front of our house.
Nice try, Nathan. The editorial board recommendation is all you'll get from me.

I voted for Magsig, but not with any enthusiasm. He's a bit too chummy with the developers for my liking. (Taking lots of campaign $$ from them, filing a lawsuit against the Air Pollution Control District for trying to make developers pay a portion of their share for cleaning the air.) But Ms. Poochigian appealed to me even less. So he'll get my vote, but he won't get a sign in my yard.

At least they call and try to get an ok and not just stick it in your yard. I don't think yard signs and other big signs on corners really sway the vote anyway. They are just an eyesore.
