Hillary's no quitter, so just stop asking
People who keep telling Hillary Clinton to quit should save their breath for the convention balloons. She hasn't come this far to slam on the brakes inches from the finish line. Telling her to quit is like telling Danica Patrick to drive a Ford Focus. It ain't happening. Even if she doesn't win, she'll want to see how close she can come. It's good. Even if Barack Obama wins the nomination, he'll be stronger for the general election having had a strong opponent to run against. What do you think?
I still want to see an Obama-Clinton or Clinton-Obama ticket. It has to happen because the story structure just demands it. The smartest political people I know say it will not not not -- never never never -- happen, but they would be a rockin' team. Both are inspiring voters in staggering numbers to show up at the polls.
Unless there is a massive, idiotic move of Lewinsky proportions, I cannot see the Republicans putting up anyone to match them.

Comments
At this point there aren't enough voters left to change the outcome. Her only hope is to change the rules and/or persuade "super delegates" to override the primary results.
Perhaps she has performed a valuable service by testing Obama's toughness (which probably exceeded her expectations), and using up a lot of the ammo that the Republicans would have thrown at him in the general election contest.
But now it's getting to the point where she will likely only hurt him and damage her legacy by continuing the fight. It looks like her ego just won't let her quit. That's not necessarily a good attribute.

She has millions of volunteers that have worked for this campaign for a year, does she not owe them a fight to the finish?

Clinton has a support structure that goes back to Bill, which will remain untill the next election cycle.
Hillary will fall back on being a Senator and probobly devote resources to sandbagging Obama (if elected as President).
She can afford to wait for the next election cycle(s).
As I have stated before, let the process play out. Our democracy does not work well if opponents just quit.

My wish is that she will stay on so this circus will continue. It has caused Obama to go from Messiah to being just another politician who'll say anything to get elected. His strongest point is the"Audacity of Ignorance" his legion of fans possess.Mike(D)please explain what legacy Hillary would damage. Is it the failed attempt at health care, false sniper fire, adulterer enabler,no recollection answers, illegal fund raising, most cheated on woman in the USA?Which one is supposed to be her legacy?

She should fight it out to the end that is the true meaning of survivor to Outwit, Outlast, Outplay. If he is to win the nomination or entire electi
on he must do those things that can't be done without an opponent. You just never know when one of the candidates are going to say or do something stupid that will change the game. Go for it Hillary.

Recently I read that delegates/super delegates have been receiving contributions from both Hillary and Obama. Guess who contributed three times more to 43% of the delegates? It's sickening to know that only in the Democratic party can we buy a nomination. This corrupt system of having the super delegates determine the nominee should be dropped by the Democratic party. Democrats should be able to vote for the best nominee for President and have their vote count.

Dream Ticket:
Who gets top billing?
One who refuses to salute our flag properly because he doesn't like what the U.S. flag stands for? For those who never spent time in the deep south, that is precisely what African-Americans say about the Confederate flag; in that context, however, it is highly justified. Combined with loyalty to Rev. Wright until political pressure dictated otherwise, there is great cause for concern about a devisive, not unifying personality. Oh, and did anyone notice Obama's support from the unions, who are controlled by organized crime or socialist-driven interests, depending on geographic location? (I'm in a union by default, not choice, and their literature clearly points to socialist--sometimes communist--ideals)
...Or, do Demo's give first billing to a pathological liar who stands by her draft-dodging, philandering, slimeball of a husband?
Republican dream ticket, indeed!

Obama will never take Hillary as a running mate. He will probably approach someone like John Edwards or another equally capable Southern candidate.
