If the economy is treating your family like a punching bag, money genius Suze Orman is offering the best bargain I've seen today.
Orman was on "Oprah" yesterday preaching fiscal responsibility to her audience, primarily of women. She is offering her book free today from until 8 p.m. You can get information from Suze about getting out of debt and also get instructions for downloading her new book, "Women & Money" by clicking here.
Suze is a real asset to people that have gotten themselves in a bad financial situation. For me I have always made it a priority to pay bills before anything else. In my early years I did find it necessary to file bankruptcy after a failed marriage. I managedc to get the initial debt paid and only had to file on accruing interest. As my ex never hekld a job wee lived on credit cards quite a lot. I learned the lesson the hard way but I did learn. If you are not someone who can make a budget and stick to it then you must live on a pay only on a cash only plan. If you don't have cash you simply don't buy it. Never ever get an adjustable rate mortgage either caudse there is never a way to predict what interesty rates may do. A great many of the foreclosures in the nation today are do to ARMs.
I see a lot of people that are barely making it but they have things they dont need like cable and cell phones. If you cant feed your family or pay the rent you have to let go of the things you don't need. I try to live on a want vs. need basis. I don't always get what I want but have all I need. It works
You hit the nail on the head Jackie. I call it live within your wage. People have to remember that your real pay check is your net pay and not the gross pay!
