How embarrassing. As a 2nd grade teacher, I make my students learn geography. Often their parents tell me it is too hard. I remind them it is 2nd grade!
As I recall geography in school was fun. Learning the capitals and coloring the maps. It was not at all hard. It is as anything else that we learn, if you don't use it you lose it. I did very well in school but can't remember a great portion of it. I feel like a total idiot when watching the Are you smarter than a 5th grader show.
