Getting Melissa back in the saddle again

If you haven't read Diana Marcum's touching story on Melissa Griffin on today's front page, don't miss it. At age 21, Melissa had a riding accident and now the community is coming together to help her with the rehabilitation treatment she needs so much. Read the whole story by clicking here.

People have really big hearts to help when help is needed. I just wish some of the doctors or rehab facilities would donate their time and facilities to give this young lady the help she needs. She can get better and she has the determination to do it. God Bless her and may he restore her to as normal as possible.

I am Melissa's mother and I can never, ever in a million years thank all of you who have come together for my little girl! The response from the fundraiser was so much more than we ever expected! And the donations are still rolling in! People have called me and apologized for sending such a modest donation but I am here to tell you that every single dollar has counted so very much. Melissa heads for the Centre on Neuro Skills on Monday, Novemeber 26th! Because we are able to pay cash, they are discounting her daily rate! Again, myself, our family, and our friends, can never, ever thank you enough! God bless all of you!
