Unsafe passing in school zones

Even with the school year well under way for more than a month, cars aren't necessarily slowing down in school zones.

The other day as I slowed down while driving west past Temperance-Kutner Elementary School on Olive Avenue, two cars went around me into the lane for oncoming traffic, speeding past the school. This would be a good place for law enforcement -- is that Fresno County Sheriff jurisdiction? -- to focus some patrols.

I got a ticket today in a school zone even though I was going 5 miles under the school zone limit. I didn't get the ticket for speeding, I got it for passing another car in my own lane. The cop said that I passed the car that was next to me. When I was approaching the school zone I slowed down to the zone limit and when I got into the school zone I was going 5 miles under, but the car to the left of me slowed down rather quickly all of a sudden, which made me pass him. I realized why the car next to me freaked out, because there was a cop on the right hand side. If the bastard next to me stayed at the same speed, I wouldn't have received the ticket, because we were both going the same speed until he saw the cop. I hate it when people freak out just because there a f---- cop around. Just go the limit or under like I do in the school zones.
Damn it! I never received a traffic ticket and the first one I get, it has to be for this.
