It's going to be 108 degrees today in Fresno and I'm looking for ideas for cheap places to cool off without using the air conditioning at home. Please add to this list of suggestions.
1. Produce box and Costco (roomy and cool).
2. Fashion Fair and Manchester Center shopping malls (good alternative to using home AC).
3. Movies theaters (free AC, although the popcorn prices can burn you).
4. Canoe trip on the San Joaquin River (but be safe out there).
5. Stay at work all day and use boss' AC. (Will you get OT for just hanging in a cool office?)
6. Enjoy the weather. (It's a dry heat.)
How about the wine room at the Fresno State Farm Market? (Of course, they might get suspicious if you stay in there too long.)
On the positive side, all those conspiracy buffs among us can make their tin-foil hats do double-duty by frying their breakfast eggs on them.
