He's in, he's out, he's Trump
I don't know about you, but I'm tiring of this Running Horse saga in which billionaire developer Donald Trump has announced a half-dozen times that he's either going to buy the bankrupt project or he's pulling out of it. Maybe this is what you get when you negotiate such a complicated deal in public.
Now it appears that part of the project won't qualify for redevelopment status. That's crucial to making the deal work. City officials now say the area has too much bare land and not enough blight to qualify for redevelopment status. Putting the surrounding property into a redevelopment area was among conditions that Trump demanded.
That's too bad. Someone needs to get the project out of bankruptcy. But the deal has to meet the rules and stand up to scrutiny. Just get a fair deal done and spare us all the drama.

Comments
Trump and a fair deal does not compute.

Actions speak louder then words.
They know how to play the media to there advantage.
this is good for the Fresno Bee's business. Doesn't everyone want to know what Trump's camp has to say?
After-all he is Trump.
Evanka Trump looks good no matter what she says. Do we really cares what she says!

I am a little surprised that Trump's team apparently doesn't include anyone familiar with doing redevelopment in California. The courts have been taking a hard look at questionable redevelopment plans in recent years. Just a few months ago an attempt by California City (out in Mojave Desert) to create a redevelopment area comprising mostly sagebrush and Joshua trees was rejected in court. Redevelopment was never intended for development on the fringes of an urban area, which is what Running Horse is.

golf is a gentleman's game..trumps no gentleman,...he's bad for golf, if you've ever seen the show he produces for the golf channel you'd know what i mean,it's a cross between jerry springer and big brother 8..i doubt if he could get a tee time in Scotland.
