arrowMacy’s to sell F. A. O. Schwarz toys

A New York Times story details plans for 685 Macy’s stores to start selling toys from famed retailer F. A. O. Schwarz in the next two years.

If the Fresno store is one of them — we don’t know yet — it will be the first toy retailer in Fashion Fair mall since KB Toys left in 2006.

I have fond memories of visiting the flagship F. A. O. Schwarz in Manhattan during a family vacation as a child.
If you haven’t been there, you might remember this scene from the movie “Big,” in which Tom Hanks played the store’s giant piano keyboard.
