arrowConsider the rest of the planet

Thumbnail image for IMG_0024.JPG For those who keep track of global warming, NOAA's National Climatic Data Center shows that the average U.S. temperature for March ranked near the average for the past 113 years. It was the 63rd warmest March since record-keeping began in the United States in 1895.

Not bad, right? But consider the rest of the planet.

The average global land temperature last month was the warmest on record for any March. And ocean surface temperatures were the 13th warmest for March.

Combining the land and the ocean temperatures, the planet had its second warmest March on record. Global temperature averages have been recorded since 1880.
