arrowArambula will seek third term

Assembly Member Juan Arambula will hold a ceremony Friday to announce he's running for a third - and final - term.

The Fresno Democrat will gather downtown with friends, family and other elected leaders, including Fresno Mayor Alan Autry, City Council Member Blong Xiong and Kerman Mayor Trinidad Rodriguez. The ceremony will be held at noon at 2550 Mariposa Mall.

Andrew Bligh of the Peace and Freedom Party and Democrat Floyd D. Harris Jr. also have indicated they're running in the 31st Assembly district.

A former Fresno County Supervisor, Arambula has since "focused his efforts on education, economic development, water issues and clean technology," according to a news release.
