Burning your bridges

Caryn teaches us a lesson this week: Don't throw poo at the people about to vote. Ian shows his softer side as Katie makes him cry. And, Ian finally gets his hands on the steering wheel of his first car.

A love affair to remember

Katie makes it through yet another week, but one person in a "strong alliance" isn't as lucky. Three Koror kids get a trip on a yacht and a visit from a loved one while the other three just get to talk strategy on the island. Tom laments his shooting skills and once again we see someone put in a position of switching alliances.

Lights out

This week on the island ends in a bit of a shocker with who heads home and how. Before tribal council, though, there's some time spent building towers, dining with chiefs and struggling for breath in an underwater cage. Oh, and someone dances in the moonlight with a glow of self-sufficiency.

The long, long night

Stephenie makes her way to Koror and becomes a part of a team that actually succeeds at what it does. Coby does voice -- loudly -- his opinions. And some local Palauns make a visit to teach the tribe to fish. A newly merged tribe means that the tribal council is a whole new world, though.

Don't cry for me, Palau

Survivor: Palau continues with Ulong -- once again -- heading to tribal council (yes, the tribe is down to one member now), Katie still hanging in there and -- for some reason -- lots of crying.

The amazing shrinking tribe

This week Koror proves it's worthy once again -- both in tackling the ocean's hunter and in bringing down Ulong in yet another immunity challenge. Yes, Ulong gets even smaller this week as the tribe of three becomes a tribe of two. And, perhaps even more surprisingly, Coby gives Katie a compliment -- just not to her face.

Warning bells for Katie

Bee TV critic Rick Bentley reads the tea leaves and sees possible imminent doom for Merced's Katie Gallagher on Survivor, whose early high popularity ratings at CBS.com have dwindled to a dangerous 37%. Almost everyone less popular than she is has already been voted off, Rick notes.

According to the "Who's Next?" poll on the site, viewers don't seem to overwhelmingly expect her to get voted off tonight. But that poll's had a pretty bad track record. Look, for example, at how long Angie stayed around (till last week!) after having skyrocketing "Who's Next?" numbers for the first two weeks. So it could all go down for Katie tonight. We'll have the scoop.

A tribe in meltdown

Jellyfish 'n' chips finds the tribes battling for snack foods, alcohol and a diving trip. It's also a record setting episode as Ulong -- once again -- cannot figure out how to win immunity. Oh, and James takes yet another step toward bringing the people of the world together.

In the 'Survivor' stew

There's a bit of a shake up on the island this week as Koror as well as Ulong loses a tribe member. Life on the island is beginning to wear on the toughest of tribe mates and Koror gets a look into life in the other tribe. Keeping with their theme, Ulong stumbles around in the dark while searching for shelter.

Build it and they will come

All the comforts of home come to the island this week; well, if you have to catch your own food and shower outside at your house. A whiny tribe mate gets voted off the island and we finally get to see what happens when James and Coby get a space all their own.

Killer coconuts, deadly snakes and circling sharks

Week three on Palau follows the survivors from the sixth through the eighth night. Ulong continues to dominate in the reward challenges. Oh, and Koror's Caryn gets in Katie's face with her thoughts on their interaction. Some tribe mates entice sharks and then try to kill them with sticks. But no rats. Oh well.

Pick me! Pick me!

Survivor's first week on Palau jumps into competition before the group of 20 even hit the island. We hear a song, take a trip to the high school playground and see what happens when nine people paddle in different directions. Merced's Katie Gallagher gets plenty of screen time and shows that she just might be around for a long time.
