arrow Weekend Rewind: Twittering around town

twitterimg.JPG

Here's my weekend, told via Twitter. It included me DJing on Saturday night, roaming the Tower on Friday and more. Here are my Tweets.

Friday:
- At Stones. Quesadilla, yum. Next on to Black Light Poetry at Palomino's. (09:35 PM)
- At Palomino's for Black Light Poetry. Packed patio. Nice atmosphere. Currently Chicago The Lyricist is killing it. (10:36 PM)
- I ponder: Should I really smile? Am I really "on camera" in the Livingstones men's bathroom? (10:50 PM)
- Spotted at Landmark: http://twitpic.com/aeye WTF??? (12:18 AM)

Saturday:
- On my way to Starline for the Fashawn show (08:12 PM)
- Got to Starline and there was already a line of kids in tight jeans and purple shirts and stuff. Doors don't open for another half hour. (08:43 PM)
- Just played Beck at the hip hop show cuz I'm cool like that (09:38 PM)
- I hella cant mix. But I think I pick good songs at least (09:51 PM)
- DJing was pretty successful. Lost some of the hiphop kids playing Black Kids, Beck, Ting Tings and Sam Sparro. Some ppl dug the variety tho. (10:52 PM)
- Fashawn really has the crowd controlled -- singing along to songs that just came out. Nice # of people here. (11:23 PM)

Sunday:
- The VMAs are stupid. Shout out to Britney Spears for keeping her consecutive suck streak alive. You'd think she could hold a mic by now. (about 13 hours ago)
- Just me, or did Kanye's suit look like something Bobby Brown wore in 1987? (about 12 hours ago)

2008 MTV Video Music Awards Insider.JPG

- It's nice to have "Entourage" back, even if the new episode wasn't the greatest. Hopefully we're in store for a fun season with Vince & Co. (about 11 hours ago)
- Oh, and I'm 3-for-3 right now in fantasy football this week. Let's hope a couple of close ones hold up on Monday night. (about 11 hours ago)

Your turn:
Fill us in. What did you do this weekend? How was it?

What did I do?

Watch you DJ at the Fashawn show. I liked the variety a lot! Of course, as a 45 year old white male, I doubt I'm your target audience ;-)

Fashawn didn't sound too great live, but he had that crowd enthralled and was a tremendously nice kid. I thought Chuck Dimes was great live, even with the kinda silly lyric 'Milk Moneymoney Milk moneymoney whoo!' (which I can't get out of my head...in the good way).
