mdub420? sickening because he's gay?

So - why is it such a big deal anymore? People are gay or their straight or maybe just confused. That's their right. I don't see why it's "sickening". Just because you don't agree with the practice.

Maybe he just meant Clay's Ronald McDonald hair.

I think it's a big deal, ShyTrbleMaker, for the fact that Clay always got all offended about it, refused to talk about it and now went all Lance Bass on us.

I don't have a problem with Clay being gay. I have a problem with Clay Aiken just being a fool.

The only thing sickening is your intolerance of other people based upon their personal choices which in no way shape or form effect your life mdub.

I could care less that he's gay. I imagine he hid it for so long because he had so many female fans that were in love with him (why I have no idea) and if he came out he (or more likely the record producers) was afraid of losing said fans and all the money the spent on albums, concerts, etc. Which in itself makes it a big deal as he hid it for monterary gain (assumedly).

poor child is going to be walking in on clay and his man doing the wild thing. that is absolutely sickening. i pray the child makes it out okay.

This is not surprising... I think everyone knew he was gay. But I applaud the strength it took for him to come out. I mean there's some reason he didn't earlier and that's his business. Don't lie, be honest... good values to teach a child regardless of sexual orientation.

Right, MDub, because all gay people just do it all the time without regard to people around them.

And Mike Oz- Its got to suck being in the spotlight with a secret, its hard enough to come out when you don't have magazines and TMZ dying to publish every step or misstep. I don't fault him for denying it because of all of the people who do make a big friggin deal about it.

Kim, if Clay didn't want to be famous then he didn't have to be on American Idol. With fame comes the prying and the questions. I don't feel sorry for Clay or his lack of privacy. He clearly wanted it and took drastic measures to seek out fame.

Why is everyone applauding his strength when he has been a coward for so many years?

This is a non-story.

@ Kim Burly: I don't fault him for denying it, either. But I do think that he could have handled it better all these years. I realize it's a very difficult situation to be in, with all the news outlets hounding him, but he never seemed to have tact about it.

And let's be real -- Clay Aiken is not that famous as to where he can't just live a normal life and be left alone. He's only an American Idol runner-up. To some degree, in 2008, part of his celebrity is that he's famously acted like a baby on this subject. Not unlike Roger Clemens on the steroid issue.

Yeah, I gotta agree with mdub420. Walkin' in on your gay parents doin' it IS gross. Does that mean that people with hetero parents didn't mind walkin' in on their parents? mdub420, did you just stand there and watch?

Ha TVTuner, maybe they walked in on mdub420 and then commenced.

SUPPLIES... I mean SURPRISE! Who cares, I mean he's not changing the world one way or another. There are plenty of people we come in contact with on a regular basis, who teeter the line of (Hmmm, I wonder if).

He's a fool, his hair is funny looking, he produces breast milk, and in less than a year he'll just another artist. Shoot, I recently had a "Music Head" tell me that Busta Bust was hooking it up on the under!

I'm just saying...

I remember when I first moved to the Tower (from Clovis). I moved into a great 1927 craftsman that was impeccably decorated and had a cool vibe. I then got a male roommate.

A few of my neighbors tried to set me up with some guy. I didn't realize the confusing picture I was painting. I wish Fresno Mag (our People) would do a cover story on me telling the world I am straight.

Geez, a guy takes four years of fashion merchandising in high school and says things like "It's not shallow, it's fashion" to his girlfriend and gets excited when he discovers his favorite hair product on sale and Tweets about finding a vintage Pet Shop Boys album at Spinners and...and...and people are surprised to find out he's straight.

Broaden your minds people.

Hey Clay, you go girl...
