arrow McDonald's may have put me off their fries for a while

And that's a good thing, because those salty sticks of awesomeness are like crack to me. Were like crack to me. Anyone else kind of skeeved out by this ad?

At least thy didn't use the sign for "The Shocker"

That would make Heather's claim of "salty sticks of awesomeness are like crack to me" very uncomfortable.

Of course I'm eating my lunch as I read this blog. What is my lunch you ask? McDonalds of course. Thanks Hmac, you killed my appetite.

At least it's a hand giving a rock gesture. Just think if they had done a "Shock 'n' Fries" campaign.

I like to refer to french fries as "the devils starchy fingers" ala Gilmore Girls' Mrs. Kim.
and yeah this is kinda reminiscent of the whole Wendy's chili-finger debaucle.

Damn you Travis for having my same thoughts and damn you Beehive moderators for not keeping up with comments fast enough.

I was at the pool, Adam. Priorities...

I can't help it that you're unoriginal.

I don't see the problem with this ad. What exactly is so wrong with it?

I think it has to do with the fingers representing french fries and the general creepiness factor therein.

OK... McD's fries ROCK and I think this is original... no creepyness here... and I agree that the shocker would have been much worse...

???? It is a freakin rock n roll sign. How exactly is that supposed to represent fries????

I am sure Mcdonalds performs marketing tests with an ad such as this and found the ad to be acceptable. I guess some people just don't get it.

Jessica, do you know what McDonald's french fries look like?

Oh, wait, hang on. Do you know what McDonald's french fries look like????????????

I guess you're right. You just don't get it.

"McDonald’s is the latest to use body paint and hands in their advertising campaigns. The Rock ‘n’ Fries print ad is one of the most creative and playful examples of this artistic advertising approach that I have seen."

It's nice to know what the ad designer thinks about his own work.
