Fresno Mural Tour: What'd we miss?
On the cover of today's issue of 7 you'll find a tour of Fresno murals put together by myself and my colleagues Felicia Matlosz and Donald Munro.
With something like this, we know people are going to react with a "Hey, what about my favorite mural?"
It's inevitable. So please, tell us right here.
What did we miss? What murals do you like? Where are they? How can people find them?

There is a mural on the building at Blackstone and I think Ashlan?? It's on the Kaledeiscope building. The artist is born and raised right here in Frenso. His name is Shawn Erickson and he painted that mural before murals were cool. It is really amazing and considering that it was done sometime in the early 90's it still looks great!!!
I really had to write this because as I think back on murals in Fresno there were really none or it was considered graffitti at the time it was done!

Was the point of the article supposed to be commission jobs only? I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job, however some letters would have shown diversity and flavor. Not to mention the roots of "outdoor mural painting" lay wihin the letters. The FRONT of fred's might have been a good idea, I'm just sayin'
