Cuero, Texas: home of the chupacabra. Or not.
A Cuero, Texas, deputy-in-training has caught on video a suspicious creature running from his patrol car, and is now claiming it's evidence of the legendary goat-sucker, the chupacabra.
Is the video real? And I don't mean, is it really a chupacabra, because it's clearly a pig. What I mean is, when everyone and his mom is eyeing viral videos and viral marketing as a means to stir up interest in his company or product, how can we tell which are the real videos and which aren't? Remember when we all thought that office freakout video was real, and it turned out to be a promotion for the movie "Wanted"?
Maybe it doesn't matter. Something doesn't have to be real to be funny, I suppose, and for the moment I'm enjoying the idea of law enforcement officers in Texas running around, Wile E. Coyote-style, trying to catch a chupacabra.

Comments:
Everyone knows the chupacabra looks like this mural painting in San Miguel de Allende.

Not that I'm an expert (but I play one on tv), but I've chased stuff like this for years. Looks like a dog with mange if you ask me. Besides chupacabra are supposed to be bipedal.
I don't think it's viral. But I remember seeing a supposed UFO sighting over Haiti and it turns out someone faked it to show their CGI skills, and that turned out to be viral.
So if the law enforcement chase this thing off a cliff, do they hang in mid air for a minute before producing a sign that says "Yikes" and them plummeting to the ground and land with a puff of smoke? Cause that would be funny.

It could be that the chupacabra takes the form of a running pig during the daylight hours.

Oh, and after googling that image, I've decided to become obsessed with Spitz' mustache.
Late to the game? I think not, the party is just starting.

Am I the 3000th?
And Spitz stache rocks. If I could pull it off I'd go for that look.

what I've learned from this:
a chupacabra is a mangey dog pig that is both from here and Texas, and dates both male and female of it's species (because it's bipedal...)
oh wait.
--That's not what that word means, is it...
(sorry,)
It should be on a bicycle as it's bipedal (though unicycles and trikes also use to pedals...) -so does that mean it's related to the bear somehow (the Russians have been doing great work with bicycle riding bears, have been for years...)
It's also been known to hang out with hatian UFO's and, unfortunately has a virus...
Which means it's Mark Spitz moustache is covered in goo...
-(oh yeah, and it sucks on goats...)
Nasty!
I'll stick with BigFoot, thanks.
