1. Sing along to the songs of The Smiths with This Charming Band, a San Francisco-based Smiths cover band that performs at Club Fred on Saturday. The band has been in Fresno in the past and the locals have indeed been charmed.

2. Hang out with some big muscular types. Ken Shamrock will be at Bliss -- I guess people who call themselves "The World's Most Dangerous Man" are "tolerated" -- tonight, where there's no cover. And Fresno fighter Casey Olson will have an afterparty at Roe after his bout tonight in the Palace Fighting Championships in Lemoore.

Now hit the gym and bulk up, you sissy! You've only got a couple hours.

3. Best of Fresno follow-up Pt. 1: Super Lucky Catz play a little more intimate show than last weekend's festival. They're at Sequoia Brewing Co. in North Fresno on Saturday night.

4. Best of Fresno follow-up Pt. 2: It's been a busy week for Six Ounce Gloves. First Best of Fresno, then Mayhem Fest
on Tuesday and now a gig at Club Habanos tonight. Join them and rock, Fresnans!

5. Dance your little behind off at Bounce's four-year anniversary party at Starline on Saturday night. DJs from Fresno, Orlando and all in points in between will be there to make you sweaty on the dancefloor. OK, we're just kidding about that all points in between, but Fresno and Orlando will be in the house.
