arrow Best of Fresno Music Festival: photos and video

Missed the Best of Fresno Music Festival? Well, The Beehive was in attendance Saturday at Engelmann Cellars (once it cooled down a bit) and we had our cameras ready.

Below we got candid moments from backstage, scenes from the crowd and performances from the artists. That's full circle coverage, y'all. Pics by myself and Ms. Heather McLane. The video is all H-Mac.

Watch and listen

A couple cliché crowd shots

Super Lucky Catz, from behind the stage.

SLC's Rob the Voice just off stage, with the sweat to prove it.

Attention ladies! Patrick Contreras getting dressed.

And then he took the jacket off.

Drummer Jason Williams of Contreras' band.

Ever the showman, Patrick takes his violin into the crowd.

Kevin Hill arrives in his $350 car. True story, he told me so.

Jay Rossette on his iPhone, not the new one.

"You better not take my picture, fool."

It was hard to get a candid wine barrel shot ... they move so quickly.

Trey Tosh from behind the stage

Keeping with Tosh's hero, John Mayer, The Beehive presents Trey Tosh: The Guitar Faces.

There was a lady in a wet T-shirt dancing in front of the stage pretty much all day. We're not showing you that picture. Have this one instead.

"How old are you again, kid?"

Trey Tosh still carries his own gear.

Here's Don Heflin, of Deja Blues, who was the festival's emcee, stepping off stage.

Ron Thompson. It's not in this picture, but I saw this guy double-fisting beers.

Props to local band Flight 409, who wasn't on the lineup -- though it should have been -- but came out to support anyway.

Who wants free Red Bull?

40 Watt Hype, pre-show huddle.

I'm proud of this one: Creative Fresno dudes Abe Lopez (middle), Travis Sheridan (bottom) and Six Ounce Gloves' Mike Bass (mohawk). MikeOzarazzi in full effect.

The next event at Engelmann Cellars.

The man himself, Bret Engelman.

And his wine.

40 Watt Hype on stage.

40 Watt Hype from behind the stage.

Fire department dudes were there -- but seemed to be having fun.

Mitch from Six Ounce Gloves setting up.

Lee and Mike from Six Ounce, uncandid.

Darkness hits. Time to wrap things up.
