Wrong. As we're fond of pointing out time and again, there's plenty to do. Putting our money where our mouths are, the Beehivers will be out in force this weekend enjoying some of the best entertainment Fresno has to offer. Here's where you'll find us this weekend:

Donald: "I'm actually going to the opening of "Twelfth Night" at Woodward Shakespeare Festival on Thursday, but I wouldn't want anyone to forget about it as an option for Friday. (But note that there is no performance on Saturday, but just for this week.)

On Sunday, I plan to check out the Brooklyn-based dance company "Urban Bush Women," which is the opening performance at the California State University Summer Arts program at Fresno State. It's at 7 p.m. at the Concert Hall. If you've never been to a Summer Arts performance, I highly recommend catching one during this month-long event: the artists and performers who come are truly world-class."

Mike Oz: "Devoya Mayo, who I consider one of the freshest people in Fresno, is kicking off what I hope is a string of events this summer at Palomino's. She's calling it the Summer Patio Series and she'll be playing music under her DJ alias Ms. Soulflower and she's bringing out DJ Fresh Choice from Merced. It's funk, soul and hip-hop – all things a dude named Mike Oz is looking for on a Friday night. I'm so there."

Heather: "I, too, will be at Palomino's Friday night to support Ms. Soulflower. My Saturday, however, belongs to the Smog City Roller Grrls, who will take on the Prison City Derby Dames 7 p.m. at Ernest Valdez Hall in the Fresno Convention Center. You may have seen a brief mention about the bout on the Beehive this week. My fellow Beehivers Mike Oz and Will Albritton also will be in attendance. (Maybe one of the Grrls will be kind enough to gift birthday boy Will with a kiss on the cheek? Lola La Chola, I'm looking at you.) Doors open at 6 p.m. You'll see me sitting up front with a drink in my hand by 6:30 p.m. Good luck, Grrls!"

So. What's everyone else doing this weekend?
