arrow Go Shakespeare!

LIF MCC 12th NIGHT 2.JPGThere are some other things going on tonight, ahem, but I don't want anyone to forget about opening night of the fourth season of the Woodward Shakespeare Festival. The company performs "Twelfth Night" at 8 p.m. Thursday in the group activities area of the park, which is a different location from the past. I give a rundown on the new performance space and the production in today's Life section.

If you're on the fence between this and the Bulldogs, think to yourself: What would Shakespeare do?

Actually, Shakespeare probably would have gone to see a game, but only because he would have been able to have a beer. ( look, even the theater freaks can have a good chuckle at Willie's expense)
Really, I'm sad for the sports fanatics who have no sense of humor. That stick must really hurt.

We had the pleasure of seeing "Twelth Night" and we were so impressed. In spite of a little trouble hearing due to a the blasting backround music of a rock band and a peacock that insisted on being a part of the play the actors performances were exquisite and I haven't used that word in a long time!! I feel that I can speak for most the audience when I say that for a few hours we forgot about the dirty air we were breathing, the gas prices and economy and went back in time to enjoy a splendid performance of one of Shakespeares great plays. As far as baseball I like that too and I would never take away from their well deserved thunder. Look into your hearts Fresnans we can have it all!!
