Calling all dorks, drunks, Fresnans and bloggers ...
In the spirit of bloggeradarie*, we'd like to let you know about the upcoming Dorktown three-year anniversary concert, going on June 10 at Starline.
It's not only a chance to honor (i.e. get drunk and cuss at) local blogger The Fresnan and his foul-mouthed Fresno podcast Dorktown (Ep. 61 is up), but also an opportunity to see another local blogger live his double-life as a punk rock guy who loves to scream and take off his shirt.
Seriously, I'd give 5-to-1 odds that ol' Famous Whitewater takes off his shirt.
Also scheduled to perform -- no odds on these people wearing clothes -- are Tokyo Death March, The Overdubs and Chrysalis.
I'll tell you this: Hanging out with a bunch of FresBloggers is exactly what you'd imagine. Take that however you will.
*We also wanted to flier-scoop The Fresnan on his own event. Take that, sucka!
UPDATE: Famous has a feature on the Dorktown guys. Read up, y'all.

Comments:
Oh, and that thing on the flier looks like the son of Von Kaiser.

I agreed to go to this only because I heard that Famous is incapable of performing anything with his shirt on, and also that Bells from Dorktown would probably take off his pants if you bought him a beer.
This is accurate information, right? Because I have laundry I could be doing that night...

Scooped is friggin' right. I think this post went up about 5 minutes after the flier was created. Normally I'd call Mike Oz' out and say BLOGHOG, but since he is promoting the event so damn well, I just got to call him a BADASS!
Yes, Tuesday count on JT Rocket taking off his shirt. Bells will do many things if you buy him a beer. And I will gladly show my ass to anyone willing to buy me or Heather's mom a beer. Or (most likely choice), everyone will need to keep buying me beer so that I WON'T show my ass.

Wow. I knew I was missing out by not attending the Wii bowling portion of the Blogger Olympics. Damn.

Are you in, Adam? Sounds like next Tuesday is turning into Watch a Blogger Strip for Beer Night.
That oughtta pack 'em in, Fresnan. Sold out crowd, guaranteed.

h mccain, if you listened to our latest podcast you would know adam is in.
(i know, i'm blogwhoring)

Blogwhoring, incidentally, does not require the removal of clothing interestingly enough.
And yes Heather, I plan on attending the show.

I'm planning on being there, although we couldn't represent at the olympics...
after rehearsal that is... oy!

Here's the story I did on Dorktown for Famous. You know, since we're talking about it.

Word. I meant to update the post to add that link. Thanks for the reminder. Just did it.
Good stuff, Famous.

I'll be there... So this should be some big orgy-fest of cameraphones, voice recorders and other wireless gadgets, right? I think we ought to all film Mike Seay from different angles at one point as we sing him a public-domain version of Happy Birthday and then check out all the angles on YouTube. All those perspectives, we can make him the 2009 YouTube Star.
I call his profile from the right!

If I could be there, I'd assure everybody I wouldn't be dropping my pants. But the same cannot be said for Thorne Junior, who while in the throes of potty training has become adept at dropping trou and peeing in public. And he does it gratis, too, as he's waaaaay too young for beer.
Maybe he and Bells can have a pee-off. ft

I'm drunk from all the bloggeradarie* in this post. I can't wait for Tuesday night and I hope everyone has an awesome time.
