Start salivating now: Sudz in the City is Saturday
The Beehive doesn't condone drinking and driving, which is why we're happy that this year's Sudz in the City is on Memorial Day weekend. That means everybody has an extra day off, enough time to walk home to any part of Fresno should the predicament arise. Sudz is Saturday at The Chuk with more than a dozen microbrews and a bunch of music. More details at Sudz' nifty new Web site.

I'm thinking of going this year for the first time, but not sure how it works. Do we just buy the ticket and get to try free samples of beer or do you have to buy beer tickets inside to sample the beer (kind of like going to the Fresno Fair and then having to buy ride tickets)?

Michael:
Your ticket gets you a glass and eight beer tokens that you can use to sample different beers.
I'm guessing that you can buy more (if you need to) once you're in.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Thats how it worked last year. Although, I think I got ten "tokens" last year, this year it seems to have been reduced to eight. Oh well, saving me from my own bad judgment, I guess.

Hmmm I wonder if I could sell my tokens for a profit?
Thanks for the info. I didn't think it was a "beer buffet", if Fresno police would set up a DUI check point outside The Chuck.

Fresno police won't set up a DUI check point outside the stadium, but they'll be there watching your every move.
i went last year and had a lot of fun. i ran into people i hadn't seen for along time. the latinas that go are just so damn beautiful. baby mommas are extra special if you're interested in them. and don't forget the older milfs. those sexy cougers steal the show everytime, pleezbaleevit.
and yeah the beer is great too. i remember getting tickets last year because i would simply cut them in half and put them in the bucket before i got a beer. that's going to be hard to do with tokens. oh well, in that case do what i do. i compliment the beer server about how great the beer is and he won't ask for your ticket/token. it worked everytime last year.
