Job Fair? More like Job Suck
I said it last week, and I'm saying it again: whenever the action of "The Office" ventures outside of Dunder Mifflin, the show suuuuuucks.
Case in point? Last night's episode "Job Fair." If it wasn't for Jim Halpert looking all cute in his golf hat, I would have switched over to C-SPAN, or something equally lively. There was just one highlight from the episode, and it was this:
Angela: Extension 128.
Creed: Hiya, Pumpkin, it's Creed. Say, we're gonna ditch this bitch. Are you in?
Angela: No.
Creed: Are you out? Pumpkin's out. Let's go, gang!
Classic.
Other than that, the funniest moment during last night's "Office" was that crazy "Let's explore the roof garden" commercial for "Saturday Night Live" featuring Shia LaBeouf and Andy Samberg. Did anyone else see that? I laughed more during that commercial than I did the rest of the half hour.
The one-hour season finale of "The Office" is next week, and it better be a doosie. Here's what I'm picturing: Jim Halpert proposes to Pam who instead takes off for New York or Philadelphia to become a graphic designer. I'm also picturing all the ways I could cheer Jim Halpert up after he has his heart broken, but I'll save that for my diary (oh, just to hear him tell me "I like you"!).
Incidentally, I played arcade basketball at Victory Grill last night, and I feel pretty confident in making the claim that I could kick both Darryl and Oscar's collective asses in hoops. In a staring contest, however, I think the prize would go to Dwight Schrute.

Comments:
I agree with you Hmac, it wasn't that good. I think the writers are still on strike.
But I did crack up when Andy crashed the golf cart. Only cause I've done the same thing.
Twice.

Ed I did the same thing, it was a stupid laugh but I couldn't help it. I swear the best part about golfing is racing the golf carts and going to the bar.

My 12-year old, who LOVES The Office, said last night, "why do they call it 'The Office' if they're never in the office anymore?" Nuff said.

Agreed about the Andy in the sand trap thing - I actually laughed out loud at that, rewound it, and then laughed again.
Agreed about J's comment, too, Tiff. Spot-on observation.

Wow. After reading your review of that episode of The Office, it figures you would laugh at something like the SNL commercial. You're awwwwwful!
