Last night, QueerFresno hosted its weekly Pink Wednesday event at Bobby Salazar's in the Tower District. The Beehive was there. Were you?

If so, you were one in a crowd of around 80 or so people enjoying the $3 margaritas, some chicken taquitos and, of course, good company. Also you may or may not have seen me flogged by a good-looking man wearing leather chaps.

Joe Benevides, Jon Archer Pace and Earl Scialabba graciously pose for the Beehive. Some of you may know Joe by another name (he "represents" Patty Hose, as he says) and another blog (some images NSFW). Jon is Emperor XXXI of the Imperial Dove Court. Earl is a writer, and posts his book You Too Can Look as Pretty as Us in chapters on QueerFresno.com.

DJ Daniel Campioni and his special guest, DJ Adrian M, got the people out of their seats and onto the dance floor.

Tomas Cioffi, Richard Perez, Doug Alves and Jeff Hernandez rock the cowboy look. Last night's Pink Wednesday honored Heath Ledger and his performance in Brokeback Mountain.

And finally, meet brian X aka slEZ, the current titleholder for Northern California Leatherboy, 2007-08.

brian X taught me a lot about the fetish lifestyle, and even gave me a demonstration by flogging my arm and then rubbing it to make it feel better, which I may not have been entirely prepared to experience on a Wednesday night.
